The UCC was founded in 1957 as the union of several different Christian traditions: from the beginning of our history, we were a church that affirmed the ideal that Christians did not always have to agree to live together in communion.  Our motto, "that they may all be one", is Jesus' prayer for the unity of the church.  The UCC is one of the most diverse Christian churches in the United States.

The theme emphasizes God's continued presence and activity in the world, especially in the dynamic and welcoming setting that is the United Church of Christ.  God is still speaking !

The Connecticut Conference is one of 39 regional conferences in the 1.5 million member United Church of Christ, a "united and uniting" Protestant denomination in the United States of America.

Silver Lake Conference Center is the home of the Outdoor Ministries of the Connecticut Conference of the United Church of Christ.  Nestled in the picturesque foothills of the Berkshires of Litchfield County, Silver Lake has been welcoming church groups, youth groups, schools, non-profits and businesses, for almost fifty years during the Fall, Winter and Spring.

The Solar Cooker Project not only serves to protect women, but also provides them with income opportunities through manufacturing solar cookers, training others to use the cookers, and making carrying bags to increase the cookers life span. It gives the women a sense of pride to be able to contribute to their household.

The Cornerstone Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit ecumenical outreach organization.  It is a safe, non-threatening atmosphere where one can be listened to, affirmed, and encouraged.

My Sister's Place (MSP) is a shelter for battered women and their children.  Our mission is as follows: MSP is an interactive community committed to eradicating domestic violence.  We provide safe, confidential shelter; programs; education; and advocacy for battered women and their children.  Our goal is to empower women to take control of their own lives.

Heifer helps children and families around the world receive training and animal gifts that help them become self-reliant.

One Great Hour of Sharing is an offering that makes real the love of Christ for individuals and communities around the world who suffer the effects of disasters, conflict, or severe economic hardship, and for those who serve them through gifts of money and time.

Church World Service Emergency Response Program helps the faith community play its special role in disaster mitigation, preparedness, and response in the U.S. and around the world.

Fisher House Foundation donates "comfort homes," built on the grounds of major military and VA medical centers.  These homes enable family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful times, during the hospitalization for an unexpected illness, disease, or injury.

Covenant to Care for Children mobilizes and channels the generosity of caring and faithful people to advocate for, mentor and provide direct assistance to Connecticut's children and youth who are neglected, abused or at-risk.

UNICEF is mandated by the United Nations General Assembly to advocate for the protection of children's rights, to help meet their basic needs and to expand their opportunities to reach their full potential.

The Network Against Domestic Abuse of North Central Connecticut helps to reduce the incidence of domestic violence and to assist adult victims and their children to be free from this violence.

Gifts to the Christmas Fund help provide pension and health premium supplementation to low-income retirees, emergency assistance to the families of clergy and lay employees and Christmas Gift Checks to hundreds of annuitants.

Neighbors in Need offering of the United Church of Christ supports ministries that address poverty, economic development, human rights, peacemaking, violence, racial and economic justice, environmental concerns, and public policy advocacy.

Enfield Food Shelf is a local food pantry open to Enfield residents in need.  To qualify, applicants must bring a valid ID and proof of Enfield residence, all household income, and rent or mortgage payments.
